Betty J. Wright, 91, of Spring Grove, PA, formerly Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, May 29, 2017 at the York Hospital.

Born September 16, 1925 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Solomon R., Sr. and Lottie Mae (Rohrbaugh) Miller.  Betty was the loving wife of the late James K. Wright, who died June 19, 1999 and with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Betty was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Dubs UCC, Hanover, PA.

Betty retired in 1990, having worked as secretary in the family business, James Wright Plumbing & Heating. 

Betty enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, cooking for her family and especially loved raising her six children and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, James L. Wright, Sr. and wife, Kara of Glenville, PA, Steven E. Wright and wife, Sandy, Connie L. Seitz and husband, Richard, Karen J. Sterner and husband, Gene, and Barbara A. Ruth and husband, Clark, all of Spring Grove, PA, and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Wright of Hanover, PA; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harry Miller of Hanover, PA, Solomon Miller, Jr. of Spring Grove, PA, Glenn Miller and Eugene Miller, both of Littlestown, PA; and three sisters, Helen Aughenbaugh of Hanover, PA, Artella Cool of Glenville, PA and Mary Bollinger of Spring Grove, PA.  She was preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Wright; three brothers, Stuart Miller, Lester Miller and Maurice Miller; and three sisters, Beatrice Mohr, Shirley Miller and Anna Miller.

A funeral service to remember and celebrate Betty’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Paul’s Dubs UCC, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Larry M. Estepp officiating.   A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Friday, June 2, 2017 at the church.  Burial will be in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers will be Patrick Seitz, James L. Wright, Jr., Scott Wright, Clint Wright, Ken Sterner, Allen Sterner, Cody Ruth and Caleb Ruth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to St. Paul’s Dubs UCC, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
