Christine M. Bankert, 63, of Littlestown, PA, entered God’s Eternal care, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital.

Born December 1, 1953, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of Cosmos (Gebhart) Worley of Hanover, PA and the late Clark Worley.  She was the loving wife of Michael D. Bankert with whom she shared nineteen years of marriage.

Christine retired from the Hanover Hospital, where she worked as an operating room assistant for twelve years.  She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

In addition to her mother, Cosmos, and loving husband, Michael, Christine is survived by her children, Shawn C. Unger of East Berlin, PA, Charles Flickinger, Jr. of Salem, CT and a step-daughter, Andrea Bankert of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Donnie Huppman, Clark Flickinger, Neva Flickinger and Zane Flickinger; a step-grandchild, Triston Espinosa; a brother, Pat Worley of Hanover, PA; and three sisters, Barb Novak of Fogelsville, PA, Janet Hentz of New Oxford, PA and Cindy Robertson of Hanover, PA.     

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Christine will be held 7:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Deacon Thomas Aumen of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating.  Burial will be in private and at the convenience of the family.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at the funeral home.
