Cloyd E. Willow, Jr., 91, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital, Hanover, PA.
Born August 7, 1925 in Mt. Holly, PA, he was the son of the late Cloyd E., Sr. and Mildred (Baumgardner) Willow. Cloyd was the loving husband of the late Dorothy H. (Redding) Willow who died February 8, 2007.
Cloyd was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.
Cloyd was a veteran of the United States Marines, having served his country proudly during World War II.
Cloyd was a life-long mason, having worked as a brick-layer for the Union Local #1 of Maryland. He was a life-member of the Littlestown VFW and the Littlestown Eagles.
Cloyd enjoyed farming, hunting and spending his winters in Arizona.
Cloyd is survived by his children, Cloyd E. Willow, III and his companion Pat DeGroft of Hanover, PA, Beverly A. Pohlman and her husband Bruce of New Oxford, PA, Donna L. Scheivert and her husband Mike of Littlestown, PA, and Terry L. Willow and his companion Iris of Hanover, PA; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Willow.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jerod Willow, Travis Willow, Brett Pohlman, Terry Willow, Jr., Andrew L. Willow, Tyler Wire and Mark Wire.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Cloyd’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Sam Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors provided. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday June 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
