Dalton Cole Schriver, 22, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at his residence.

Born August 21, 1993 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Dee L. (Gerber) Schriver of Hanover, PA.

Dalton was a 2011 graduate of New Oxford High School where he was an Honor Roll student and was one of the Best & Brightest in his class. He was an active member of the Future Farmers of America. He played on the men’s volleyball team and was a manager for the girl’s volleyball team. He attended Penn State University, York Campus where he was on the Dean’s List.

He enlisted in the United States Army in December 2010 and was discharged shortly after due to medical conditions.

A few of his favorite pastimes included; playing disc golf, video games and helping his family with yardwork. He enjoyed custom building and driving his dream car, a 2013 Dodge Dart. He had a passion for mixing and DJ’ing music.

Dalton was employed part-time at York Street Beverage in Hanover.

In addition to his mother Dee, he is survived by his sisters; Sarah E. Schriver, Kristin C. Schriver both of Philadelphia, PA, his maternal grandparents, Dale L. and Wandalee L. Gerber of Hanover, PA, his aunt and uncle, Patrick and Deb Rineman of Hanover, PA, cousins; Jeremy, Patrick and Dru Rineman, Jessie George, Michelle, George and Mike Miller, his girlfriend, Alicia G. Reese of Gettysburg, PA, lifelong friends, Dan and Kathy Wildasin of Hanover, PA, best friend, who was like a brother, Danny Wildasin of McSherrystown, PA, father, Donald J. Schriver of Gettysburg, PA, paternal grandparents, Robert Jr. and Dorothy Schriver of Hanover, PA, aunt, Carol Myers of McSherrystown, PA and cousins, Brian & Kelly Myers.

Funeral services will be held at 7 PM, Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Rev. Steven E. Thomas officiating. A viewing will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dalton to I O Silver Foundation, 4307 South Victoria Way, Harrisburg, PA 17112.

Dalton’s family and friends are blessed with many memories made throughout his all too brief time here with them. He was faced with many challenges, including health issues as well as his battle with depression. Dalton was brave and courageous until his last days. He will be loved and remembered always.
