Doris L. Decker, 92, of Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Greenfield Senior Living, Hagerstown, MD. 

Born July 24, 1925, in Littlestown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John A.W. and Aggie J. (Miller) Strevig.  Doris was the loving wife of the late Fred A. Spiridonof and the late Frank Decker, Jr.    

Doris was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.  She was a former member of the Hanover Elk’s Ladies Auxiliary.

Doris retired in 1988 from Lana Lobell/Hanover House Industries.  Upon retirement she volunteered with the Hanover Red Cross Blood Mobile as well as the Hanover Hospital

Doris is survived by her daughter, Sharon A. Raun of Williamsport, MD; a grandson, Ian O. and wife Mary Ann (Rice) Raun of Sharpsburg, MD; and one great grandson, Trevor O. Raun.  She was preceded in death by one infant son, Jay Andrew Spiridonof; and eight siblings, Lillie Johnson, Mary Pfeffer, Ruth Krom, George Strevig, Agnes Selby, Noah Strevig, Hazel Randall, and John Strevig.

A graveside service to celebrate and remember Doris’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Rest Haven Cemetery, at the corner of Westminster Avenue and Boundary Avenue, Hanover, PA, with Pastor E. Robert Burkhart officiating.    

Memorial contributions may be made in Doris’s name to the charity of your choice.
