Doris Joan (LaMotte) Weaver, 78, of Brushtown, PA passed away on Friday July 22, 2016 at the Hershey Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Born December 12, 1937 in Hampstead, MD she was the daughter of the late Elwood J. and Rosella (Masemer) LaMotte.   Doris was the loving wife of Lester F. Weaver with whom she would have shared 56 years of marriage on August 27, 2016.

Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker and formerly employed at the Victory Restaurant.  She was an active member of S.A.V.E.S. (formerly Brushtown Fire Co.).

Doris enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, bingo, playing cards, crafts, and volunteering her spare time at S.A.V.E.S.  She met a lot of interesting people over the years and has a lot of friends at the fire company and Tom’s Cove Campground, Chincoteague, VA.

In addition to her husband, Lester, Doris is survived by her children, David A, Weaver of Biglerville, PA, Jodi A. (Weaver) Lawrence and Husband Terry of Marriottsville, MD, Daniel L. Weaver and wife Carla of Hanover, PA, Brian M. Weaver and wife Lisa of Irishtown, PA, 6 grandchildren, Chelsey (Weaver) Cooke, Christopher & Sarah Lawrence, Derek & Dylon Lawver, and Cullen Weaver., 1 great grandchild, Elerie Cooke, one sister, Shirley Glass of New Oxford, PA, and one brother, Michael LaMotte of Hanover, PA.

A private viewing was held for her immediate family prior to cremation.
