Dorothy M. Laughman, 98, of Hanover, PA, entered peacefully into God’s eternal care, Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Hanover Hall Nursing Home.

Born June 16, 1918 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Minnie E. (Loss) Mummert.  Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Robert T. Laughman, who died June 26, 1991.

Mrs. Laughman was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Littlestown, PA.  She was a member of the Hanover VFW Auxiliary and the Littlestown Eagles Auxiliary.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Mark L. Laughamn and wife Shelva of New Oxford, PA, Eugene M. Laughman and wife Colleen of Hanover, PA, Robert J. Laughman and companion Gladys Gladfelter of Hanover, PA and Beatrice L. Auchey of Spring Grove, PA; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard H. Mummert of Hanover, PA; and a sister, Mary L. Lemmon of Hanover, PA.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin W. Mummert, Robert A. Mummert and Edward J. Mummert. 

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Scott Aument officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to St. James United Church of Christ, 1200 Harney Road, Littlestown, PA, 17340.
