I've been putting this off all week and still can't compile my thoughts. I miss you man! I have some great childhood memories with you and learned so much from you over the years. You were always there to help out and you were always very strong mentally. You're smart, intuitive, and downright brilliant! There were no obstacles that could ever slow you down. And you always had my back growing up. I just wish you would've reached out to me in your final days so I could've return the favor to be there for you like you have been for me countless times over our several years of being friends.

I'll live off the memories until we meet again! Until then, you and your dad better practice up on that pool table because I'll be coming for ya one day! Love ya bro, rest easy!

Dustin,
I am at such a loss for words. My emotions are so raw. My heart just hurts that you had so much turmoil you were trying to deal with...we all wished we could have helped you through your struggles. I see these beautiful pictures of your amazing family...your Mom & Greg, Nana & Papa, your sister, Amanda, your precious children, so much love .... I held you as a baby and watched you grow. So many memories.... Know that we will never get over loosing you. We will always love you and I know your family will help your children to remember what a great daddy you were....and that you will always love them. Our love and prayers go out your family. Rest in peace, my buddy.

At 2:00 pm today (Wednesday) I was told one my students I enrolled a few years ago had died. What came next was really hard to believe...they said his name was Dustin Hanmore. I'm still in shock writing this email! To this day, I literally talk about Dustin every day I do an interview with a new incoming student. I remember his commitment here at ATC as he would drive almost 6 hours round trip every day to learn his craft. Hundreds of new incoming students have heard that story and his name will live on here at ATC for a long time. I just told his favorite teacher, Mr. Boran the news and he was also in shock. Three other teachers who heard me telling Mr. Boran the news chimed in right away and said what a great student Dustin was. The last time I saw Dustin was at graduation with his beautiful fiancee and how proud he was to graduate and how excited he was about his job. I took a picture of them together that night and that is the picture I show incoming students when I talk about commitment. As a Christian, many times we must walk by faith and not by sight during tough times...this is one of those times. I lift up Dustin, his fiancee, children and family in prayer during this very tough time. Rest in peace Dustin. . .

Dustin,
Though we didn't always see eye to eye about everything I never would have thought it would come to this. I'm so sorry you were in such inner turmoil you felt this was the way to ease your pain. You have definitely left an impression in this world and we all are better from knowing you. I pray those you left behind be comforted and live life with greater love and sensitivity to those around us. May you rest in peace.
