Elsie Louise Amspacher, 93, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital.

Born May 19, 1924 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late J. Ralph and Edith (Harbaugh) Musselman.  Elsie was the loving wife of the late Robert L. Amspacher with whom she shared over seventy-six years of marriage until his passing on October 27, 2017.

Elsie was a 1942 graduate of Eichelberger High School.  She worked at the former Farmers Bank and Trust Company and had a career that spanned over 31 years.  She began as an assistant cashier and retired as a regional office manager.

Elsie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA., the Hanover Hospital Auxiliary and the Hanover Elks Ladies Auxiliary. 

Elsie is survived by two grandchildren, Todd L. Amspacher and Troy L. Amspacher; two great-grandchildren, Rachel L. Amspacher and Emily G. Amspacher; one brother, James E. Musselman of Hanover, PA; two sisters, Janet L. Hoffman of Port, St. Lucie, FL, and Anna Marie Glatfelter of Spring Grove, PA.  She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Amspacher; and one brother, Wilbur H. Musselman.

Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert to the Homewood at Plum Creek Retirement Center, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
