Francis Xavier Hufnagle, 91, of York, PA, entered God’s eternal care Monday, September 18, 2017 at his granddaughter’s home with his loving family by his side. 

Born March 11, 1926, in York, PA, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Francine Hufnagle.

Francis was a graduate of York Catholic High School, York, PA.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of York, PA. 

Francis was a veteran of the United States Navy having served his country proudly during World War II. 

Francis retired after forty years of service as a truck driver, having worked for Branch Motor Express, Shipley Humble and Ryder Truck Lines. 

Francis enjoyed going to the races, shopping and spending time with his family.

Francis is survived by his children, Michael Hufnagle of New Oxford, PA, Pamela Baum of Felton, PA, Stephen Hufnagle of Dover, PA and Patrick Hufnagle of Windsor, PA; ten grandchildren, Theresa Baum, Francis Baum, Josey Baum, Charles Hufnagle, Harry Hufnagle, Clint Hufnagle, Patrick Hufnagle, Drew Hufnagle, Dexter Boose and Jed Boose; seven great-grandchildren, Alex, Xavier, Abbey, Dahrma, Darrion, Mena, and Raven.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

A funeral liturgy will be held 11 AM, Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Father Ryan M. Fischer officiating.  The Hanover Allied Veteran’s Honor Guard will provide military honors.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 – 11 AM, Friday, September 22, 2017 at the funeral home.
