Hazel Milo

Hazel Milo, 93, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Brethren Home Retirement Community, New Oxford, PA.

Born September 9, 1922 in Graff, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late William and Fama (Rook) Klingensmith.  Hazel was the loving wife of the late Walter J. Milo who died October 22, 2008, and with whom she shared sixty-five years of marriage.

Hazel was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover.

Mrs. Milo was a 1940 graduate of Mountain Grove High School, Mountain Grove, Missouri.  She was a school bus driver for the Hauppauge School District in New York until her retirement.

Hazel was a member of AARP and was an avid New York Mets baseball fan.

Hazel is survived by her three daughters, Sandra Fay Nathanson of Hanover, PA, Donna Marie Lynch and husband Richard of Hanover, PA, and Janet Lynn McClusky of Minnetonka, MN; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Coffman and two brothers, William Charles Klingensmith and Thomas Arden Klingensmith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Ryan M. Fischer as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with a Prayer Service held at 8:00 PM.  A second visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hazel’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
