James M. Kaiser, 78, of Littlestown, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Gettysburg Hospital.

Born June 7, 1938 in Upperco, MD, he was the son of the late David J. and Ruth E. (Laughman) Kaiser.  James was the loving husband of the late Mary Ann (Wolfe) Kaiser who died June 17, 2007.

James worked for over 20 years at the former Hanover Direct, Inc.  as a security officer and custodian.  He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1342, Bonneauville, PA 

James enjoyed boating, gardening, and shuffle board.  He especially enjoyed being with his family. 

James is survived by his children, Mary Jane Laughman and husband James, Sr., Steven Kaiser, Sr and wife Leona, Karen Miller and husband Steven, Betty Sprow and husband Bradley Sr, Barbara Jestes and husband Brian; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and three siblings, David Kaiser Jr, Eileen Walls, and Mary Ellen Lawrence.   He was preceded in death by one great great grandson Angel Lease, and one brother Rodney Kaiser.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember James’ life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA, with the Rev. Andrew Reisburg officiating.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2017 and from 10 – 11 AM, Friday, April 21, 2017 at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’ memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
