Jean E. Harner Bush

Jean E. Harner Bush, 70, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the York Hospital.

Born January 3, 1948 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Luther A. and Nina P. (Stout) Harner.   Jean was loving wife of Kenna R. Bush with whom she would have celebrated 23 years of marriage in May.

Jean was a 1965 graduate of Hanover High School and graduated from x-ray tech school.  She worked as an x-ray technician for over 45 years at Pauli Clinic, Virginia Beach General Hospital, Walter Reed Hospital, MRI of York and the Hanover Hospital.

Mrs. Harner Bush was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA, where she was active in the Hand Bell Choir as well as many other church groups.  She enjoyed traveling and cooking.

In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by one sister, Joyce Strausbaugh of Hanover, PA.  She was preceded in death by one sister Lois Jane Baker. 

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Jean’s life will be held 11:00AM, Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Kathryn A. Schroeder officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held 9:00-11:00AM, Monday, April 2, 2018 at the church.
