Kevin Gregory Loss, 34, of Mt. Airy, MD, entered God’s eternal care, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, with his loving family by his side.

Born January 29, 1983 in York, PA, he was the son of Gregory F. Loss and Janice L. (Gillman) Kline of Chambersburg, PA, and the step-son of Steven A. Kline.  Kevin was the loving husband of Staci R. (Dew) Loss with whom he shared two years of marriage.

Kevin was a 2001 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover, PA, attended York College, and was a graduate of the Baltimore County Police Academy.  He served as a police officer with the Baltimore County Police Department for the last 13 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Police.   

Kevin was full of life, laughter, and love.  He brought incredible joy to the lives of everyone he knew.  He enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially, hunting and fishing.  He was also an avid sports fan.

In addition to his parents and his loving wife, Kevin is survived by two sisters, Melanie R. Gillman of Hershey, PA and Stephanie M. Dorsey of Chambersburg, PA; his dogs, Manny and Maple; three nieces, Savannah, Zy’Rah and Nya, and one nephew, Landon. 

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Kevin’s life will be held 11:30 AM, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be held in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin’s memory may be made online to http://mdcops.org  or mailed to MD COPS c/o Nancy Turner, 519 Laurel Road, Riva, MD 21140.

Serving as casketbearers will be members of the Baltimore County Police Department.
