Marion G. Spencer, 87, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Friday, April 28, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side. 

Born October 2, 1929 in Greensburg, PA, he was the son of the late John P. and Thelma A. (Brock) Spencer.  He was the loving husband of Margherita L. “Rita” Spencer with whom he shared sixty-three years of marriage.

Marion was a 1948 graduate of Greensburg High School, Greensburg, PA and attended the University of Maryland.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country proudly during the Korean War.

Marion retired in 1986 after thirty-eight years of service as an analyst with the Federal Government.  He was a member of the NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees) and the USGA/PGA (US Golf Association/Professional Golfers Association).

In addition to his loving wife, Margherita, Marion is survived by his sons, Martin G. Spencer and Michael G. Spencer.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
