Mary L. Werner

Mary Louise Meisenhelter Werner, 81 years old of Hanover, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, February 11, 2018 with her children and daughter-in-law by her side.

Mary was born July 18th, 1936 in Orrtanna, PA to the late Russell and Marian Meisenhelter.  She was married to John K. Werner for forty-nine years.

In her childhood days she grew up at Camp Michaux as her father was a caretaker there.  Mary and her sisters had such fun playing in the mountains.  She enjoyed her flowers, watching the birds, working in her garden and being with her family and friends.  She loved the Lord and being there for anyone who needed a friend. 

Mary is survived by a son, Jeffrey J. Werner and wife Elizabeth Ann of New Bern, NC, a daughter, Sally Ann Becker and husband Bo of New Oxford, PA and a daughter, Wanda Louise Werner and husband Ronnie Miller of Bonneauville, PA; sisters, Doris Adams and husband Dennis of Hanover, PA, and Diane Elsbree and husband Norman of Thurmont, MD; grandchildren, Benjamin L. Becker, Mark D. Muller, Jr., Aaron J. Becker, Samuel T. Becker, Jacob D. Muller and John L. Muller; great-grandsons, Marky Muller, III, Isaac Becker; and a great-granddaughter to be born in June.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Krebs Werner in 2006, and a sister, Joan Becker.

A Funeral Service to celebrate and remember Mary’s life will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA, with Pastors, Daniel Dellosso, Jr. and Gary Wilt officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be from 10 – 11 AM, Wednesday at the church.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, compassionate care workers who made it possible for her wish to be granted to pass at her home.  And especially, all her wonderful neighbors, friends, and family who showered her with love in her last days of life.

Serving as casketbearers will be her grandsons, Benjamin Becker, Mark David Muller Jr., Aaron Becker, Samuel Becker, Jacob Muller, and John Luke Muller.
