Michael G. Fuhrman, 74, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s Eternal care, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Gettysburg Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 25, 1942 in Abbottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Jessie V. (Dickensheets) Fuhrman.  Michael was the loving husband of Bonita L. (Laughman) Fuhrman Myers with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Michael was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Abbottstown, PA, the Gettysburg American Legion Post 202, the Vikings Club, York, PA and the Hanover Standardbred Barbershop Chorus. 

Mr. Fuhrman retired from York International after 30 years of service.  He enjoyed woodworking, playing his guitar and singing, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Bonita, Michael is survived by two children, Charles E. Fuhrman and wife Evelyn M. and Michelle L. Baker and husband Gary T., four grandchildren, Seth R. Fuhrman, Zachary E. Fuhrman and wife Elizabeth R., Jebadiah M. Boone, Katlyn R. Ritz and husband Jeremy B., one step grandson, Kyle A. Baker, two great grandchildren Ava R. and Lucas B. Ritz, two sisters, Rosalie Mummert of New Oxford, PA, Joanne Bowlen of Virginia, and one brother, Rudolph Fuhrman of Gettysburg, PA.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Karol L. Altland, and three sisters, Virginia Altland, Nancy Fuhrman, and Barbara Fuhrman. 

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 4 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Center Square, Abbottstown, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. Cindy Garis officiating.  The family will receive friends and share memories from 3-4 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the church.
