Michele Lynn Akard, 61, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the York Hospital.

Born February 22, 1956 in Carney, MD, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry Kinsey.  Michele was the loving wife of Doyle S. Akard with whom she shared twenty special years together.

Michele was a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and sewing.

In addition to her loving husband, Doyle, Michele is survived by her children, Jennifer L. Ryan of Manchester, MD, and Gail L. Dye of Hanover, PA. 

Following cremation, the family will receive friends and share memories from 1:00-3:00PM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Michele’s memory may be made to the ALS Association-Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Rd., Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002-2755.
