Mildred J. Bowman, 94, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek.  She was the wife of John H. Bowman, who died December 27, 1992.

Mildred was born in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of William & Edna (Reiffe) Spangler.  She was a housewife.  Mildred was a member of the former Lohr’s Memorial United Methodist Church and a life member of Pleasant Hill Ladies’ Auxiliary. 

Mildred was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.  Surviving are nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Mildred’s life will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. David E. Roe officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM, Monday, April 17, 2017 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mildred to the Homewood at Plum Creek Benevolence Fund, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
