Robert Levi Amspacher, 96, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA.

Born October 21, 1921 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Neoma L. (Kemper) Amspacher.  Robert was the loving husband of Elsie L. (Musselman) Amspacher with whom he shared over seventy-six years of marriage.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served his country proudly during World War II.  He was a fifty-year member of the Harold H. Bair American Legion Post #14, a member of the VFW Post #2506, the Eagle Fire Company, the York County Fireman’s Association and the Hanover Elks BPOE #763.

Robert was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.

Robert was the manager of C.P. Cromer Trucking Company for many years.  He then was employed by the United States Postal Service as a truck driver for over twelve years.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working part-time at South Hills Golf Club for many years.

In addition to his loving wife Elsie, Robert is survived by two grandchildren, Todd L. Amspacher and Troy L. Amspacher; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel L. Amspacher and Emily G. Amspacher.  He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Lee Amspacher; and three siblings, Edward Amspacher, Earl Amspacher and Gladys Williams.

Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert to  the Homewood at Plum Creek Retirement Center, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
