Robert Wayne Green, 76, of Hanover, PA died Friday August 12, 2016 at the Brethren Home, New Oxford, PA.

Born January 15, 1940 in Churchville, VA, he was the son of the late Lomo and Rady (Weese) Green, Sr.  Robert was the loving husband of the late Shirley Louise (Gabbert) Green with whom he shared 50 years of marriage until her passing on May 24, 2010.

Robert was a member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren, Glenville, PA, The Hanover Moose Lodge, The Hanover Eagles and the Hanover AMVETS Post 22.

Mr. Green worked for over 30 years at J.E. Baker Company as a press operator and also a truck driver.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing and listening to blue grass music.

Robert is survived by one son, Scott A. Green of Hanover, PA, four grandchildren, Cara Green, Amiee Prince, Dana Andersen Smith, and Eric Andersen, five great grandchildren, Katelyn, Elizabeth, Natalie, Jackson and Evan, and one brother, James Green of Churchville, VA.   He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald W. Green, one daughter, Kathryn A. Andersen, two brothers, Lomo M. Green, Jr. and John Green, and one sister Lucille Randolph.

A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  

A memorial service to celebrate and remember Robert’s life will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. David W. Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Black Rock Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Glenville, PA.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Robert to the Lung Transplant Foundation, PO Box 33126, Raleigh, NC 27636-3126.
