Thelma A. Laughman, 83, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Friday, June 17, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in York, PA.

Born May 15, 1933, in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Margaret (Warner) Sullivan.  She was the loving wife of Harold T. Laughman with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Thelma’s most important role in life was being a homemaker. She loved caring for her husband and family.  She was a member of St. David’s Lutheran Church and the Hanover Mall Walkers. In years gone by she really enjoyed taking bus trips.

In addition to her husband, Harold, Thelma is survived by her son, Daniel Laughman and his wife, Bonnie of Hanover; her daughter, Julie Shadle of Hanover; three grandsons, Ryan Laughman, Shane Laughman and his wife, Shandra, and Nathan Laughman and his fiancée, Christy; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Brady and Adelyn Laughman; 3 brothers, Larry Sullivan of Spring Grove, Bobby Sullivan and Donnie Sullivan; three sisters, Shirley Fritz, Nadine Sabaka and Kathleen Tracey, all of Hanover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeffrey Shadle; six brothers, Kenneth, Gilbert, Milton, Jr., Charles, Eugene, and Richard Sullivan and three sisters, Dorothy Walton, Larue Daby and Anna Boyer.

A funeral service to remember Thelma’s life will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. David’s Lutheran Church, 1032 Musselman Road, Hanover, PA with her pastor, the Rev. Ladonna Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA and from 10-11 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the church.
