Catherine Susan Little, 96, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center, Hanover, PA.

Born February 13, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant Township, Adams County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Mazie Belle (Wildasin) Woodring.  Catherine was the loving wife of the late Gale Francis Little.

Catherine was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA.

Mrs. Little retired in 1986, having worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Hanover General Hospital for over twenty-one years. 

Catherine is survived by her daughters, Janice D. Hockensmith of Hanover, PA, Judy D. Markle and husband Thomas of Spring Grove, PA, and Joan D. Brady and husband Jeffrey of Hanover, PA; one son, John D. Little and wife Sandie of Lehigh Acres, FL; three granddaughters; two grandsons; 5 great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by a son in law, Leonard F. Hockensmith, Sr.; a grandson, Leonard F. Hockensmith, Jr.; and eleven siblings.

Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made in Catherine’s memory to the Children’s Inn at NIH, 7 West Drive, Bethesda, MD 20814-1509.
