Charles David “Dave” Nichols, 75, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the York Hospital.

Born October 9, 1942 in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Florence V. (Newburg) Nichols.  Dave was the loving husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Porrovicchio) Nichols with whom he shared almost 49 years of marriage.

Dave was an entrepreneur, having owned many small businesses during his career.  He was a member of Grace Fellowship Chapel, Westminster, MD.

Dave served his country proudly in the United States Navy.  He enjoyed golfing, cheering for the Orioles and Ravens, making people laugh, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Peggy, Dave is survived by three daughters: Kimberleigh Nichols, Kellie Thuman and husband Marshall, and Kristen Holmes and husband Jeremy; six grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Maya, Elsie, Julia, and Annabelle Honey; and one brother, Robert Nichols.

Following cremation, everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life Service to be held, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Grace Fellowship Chapel, 20 Bell Road, Westminster, MD, with Pastor Ralf Nies officiating.
