Clifford M. Wilt, 82, of Gettysburg, PA, entered God’s Eternal care, Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born May 18, 1935 in Fairfield, PA, he was the son of the late Henry S. and Linnie M. (Stull) Wilt. He was the loving companion of Lorena B. Sites for fifteen years.
Clifford graduated from Southern Fulton HS and retired from GTE, having worked as a lineman and trouble-shooter for over thirty-two years. He was a member of the Gettysburg Eagles Aerie #1562.
Clifford loved music and played many musical instruments. He was a member of the Country Breeze Band, playing in venues across Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland.
In addition to his loving companion Lorena, Clifford is survived by his children, Mahalia M. Hess, Clifford M. Wilt, Jr., Drucilla Kauffman, Caleb Wilt, Angelena Kauffman, Mark K. Wilt, Douglas G. Wilt and Barbara A. Wilt; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Carroll J. Wilt, Huldah M. Chesnut, Aletha Straight, Ann Barbee and Joel Wilt. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren; and four siblings, Naomi B. Crone, Gary D. Wilt, N. Edward Wilt and Roger H. Wilt.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 – 7 PM, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the St. Thomas American Legion, Post 612, 7966 Lincoln Way West, St Thomas, PA.
