Donald L. "DucK' Rimel

November 28, 1940 ~ October 3, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old


Donald L. Rimel (Duck), of Hanover, PA, passed away at his home at the age of 76.  Born November 28, 1940 in Littlestown, PA, he was the son of the late Alphia and Ethel (Shipley) Rimel. He was the companion of Gloria Hall.

Donald was an active fan of the Ravens.  Duck enjoyed playing horseshoes and was a former softball team coach.  He was a member of the AMVETS Post 22, Hanover, PA.

Duck served his country proudly with the United States Army.                                

Duck retired from the Revonah Spinning Mill.  When he retired, Duck worked at different bars.  His last bartending job was at the Hotel Hanover.

Donald is survived by his son, Vaughn; sisters, Virginia Shultz, Judy Bankert, and Hazel Weaver and her son Samuel.  He was preceded in death by his twin sister, June, and a brother, Al, Jr.

Duck retired from the Revonah Spinning Mill.  When he retired, Duck worked at different bars.  His last bartending job was at the Hotel Hanover.

Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
