Donna D. “Doggie” Meyers, 92, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Home, Hanover, PA. 

Born September 24, 1924, in Abilene, TX, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Mamie (Morrison) McGehee.  Doggie was the loving wife of the late Frank W. Meyers who died October 5, 2000.     

Donna attended San Marco College, San Marcos, TX.  She was the co-owner and operator of Towne and Country Woman’s Apparel Store from 1955-1978, in Stroudsburg, PA. 

Donna enjoyed sewing and was an active member of Homewood’s Sewing Group.

Donna is survived by two daughters, J. Nan Weismantel of Hanover, PA, and Vicki Lynn Meyers of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Stacy Foreman, Craig Weismantel, and Scott Weismantel; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn McGehee of Rancho Viejo, TX; and a sister, Marcia Lee Buchanan of Wyle, TX.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia L. Meyers.

Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Donna’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the Omni auditorium on the second floor of the Community Center at Homewood at Plum Creek, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Joel Hummel officiating.  Burial will be in St. David’s Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
