Dorothy Louise Zartman, 88, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Brethren Home, New Oxford, PA. 

Born September 2, 1929 in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Percy and Edith (Brown) Laughman.  She was the loving wife of Ronald L. Zartman with whom she shared over thirty-eight years of marriage.

Dorothy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. 

Dorothy retired from EMECO Industries with over thirty-eight years of service.  She was a member of the Hanover Elks Lodge #763, the Hanover Home Association, the McSherrystown Moose #720, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1406 of Hanover, PA.

Dorothy enjoyed baking and cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her loving husband, Ronald, Dorothy is survived by her children, David Myers and wife, Susan of Abbottstown, PA, and daughter-In-law Sheila Myers of Hanover, PA; two step sons, Doug Zartman and companion Jeanette Winand of Thomasville, PA, Allen Zartman and wife Theresa of McSherrystown, PA, two grandsons; eight step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren; sisters, Vergie Beamer of Biglerville, PA, Ann Lecrone and husband, Alvin of Towanda, PA, and Betty Cordero and husband, Dennis of Aspers, PA; a sister-in-law, Catherine Laughman of Hanover, PA.  She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Myers, a brother, Richard Laughman and a step-grandson, Joshua Zartman. 

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Dorothy’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. E. Robert Burkhart officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM, Monday, December 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
