E. Betty J. Snyder

E. Betty J. Snyder, 86, of Hanover, PA entered God's eternal care, Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center.

Born September 1, 1931, in Gettysburg, Adams County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul D. and Lillian M. (Valentine) Little.  She was the step daughter of Myrtle M. (Wilkinson) Little of Gettysburg, PA.  Betty was the loving wife of the late Harold L. “Dutch” Snyder to whom she was married for 64 years until his passing on December 5, 2013.

Betty was country music singer and musician, and met the love of her life, her husband on the stage.  In later years, she became a country music historian as well as an avid concert goer.

Betty worked for the Revonah Spinning Mills for many years.  She was a past president and secretary for over ten years of the F.O.E. #1406 Auxiliary and a past president and life member of the Parkville Fire Company Auxiliary.

Betty enjoyed being a homemaker, bowling, and traveling.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by five children, Samuel M. Snyder, Sterling M. "Chad" Snyder, Scott M. Snyder and Stanley M. "Pud" Snyder all of Hanover, PA and Sidney M. Snyder of Spring Grove, PA; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers, Paul D. Little, Jr, William C. Little both of Gettysburg, PA, Howard M. (Little) Bacon of Portland, OR, D. Douglas Little of Littlestown, PA.; and one sister, Doris Bedzyk of Quincy, MI.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert H. R. Little and David E. Little; and one sister, Paula M. Miller.

A service to celebrate and remember Betty's life will be held 12 PM, Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Mark Sutherland, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.   A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 11 AM – 12 PM, Friday, February 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
