Edna C. Thoman, 102, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Brethren Home.
Born February 16, 1916 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Cleophia (Brown) Miller. She was the loving wife of Leroy S. Thoman for 41 years until his passing on December 4, 1976.
Mrs. Thoman was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Abbottstown, PA. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, McSherrystown, PA.
Edna enjoyed crocheting, loved being with her family, and especially loved the trips to Ocean City, MD with her loving family
Edna is survived by her children, Leroy J. “Joe” Thoman and wife Susan of Riva, MD, Elizabeth “Sue” Lescalleet and husband Ronald of East Berlin, PA, T. Michael Thoman and wife Shirley of East Berlin, PA, Cleophia Thoman of Harrisburg, PA, Jessica Brodbeck and husband Richard of New Oxford, PA and Nettie Neiderer and husband Richard of McSherrystown, PA, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Janice Miller of Hanover, PA. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Thelma Marie Thoman, one son, Guy William Thoman, one grandson, Douglas J. Thoman, two brothers, Joseph Miller and William Miller, and two sisters, Margaret Mowrer and Elizabeth Small.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 West Canal Road, Abbottstown, PA, with Father Timothy D. Marcoe as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
