George Lawrence "Larry" Johnson

George Lawrence “Larry” Johnson, 80, of Gettysburg, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, March 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.   

Born July 16, 1937 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Lucille (Kidwell) Johnson.  Larry was the loving husband of Deborah “Dianne” (Keller) Johnson with whom he shared fifty-three years of marriage.  

Larry retired from Rittenhouse Fuel Company in 1999, having worked as a heating and air conditioning mechanic for over thirty years. 

In addition to his loving wife Dianne, Larry is survived by his sons, George L. “Larry” Johnson, Jr. and wife Donna and Nelson Johnson and wife Jeannie; four grandchildren; Sabrina Johnson, James Krach, Caroline Johnson, Tommy Johnson; a sister, Adaline Lawrence; and a brother, Robert E. Johnson.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Johnson, Donald Johnson, and Martin Johnson

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Larry will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA, with Pastor Sandy Adams, Jr. officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
