Harold T. Laughman, 88, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, March 23, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center, Hanover, PA.
Born June 4, 1929, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred L. and Margaret Laughman. He was the loving husband of the late Thelma A. (Sullivan) Laughman, who died June 17, 2016.
Harold was a United States Veteran and served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from Bethlehem Mines after thirty-three years of service.
Harold was a member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. He was a member of the Hanover Mall Walkers and enjoyed traveling.
Harold is survived by two children, Daniel T. Laughman and wife Bonnie, of Hanover, PA and Julie A. Shadle, of Hanover, PA; three grandchildren, Ryan, Shane and wife Shandra, and Nathan and wife Christy; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Brady and Adelyn; and four siblings, Richard Laughman and Francis Laughman, both of Hanover, PA, Evelyn Erb of Spring Grove and Fannie Auchey of Littlestown, PA. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Alfred N. Laughman and Margaret Sponseller; and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Shadle.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at St. David’s Lutheran Church, 1032 Musselman Road, Hanover, PA, with Rev. LaDonna Thomas officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail will provide Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold’s memory may be made to St. David’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1032 Musselman Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
