Harold E. Myers, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, July 13, 2018 at UPMC – Pinnacle, Hanover, PA.
Born July 28, 1931 in Pleasant Hill, Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late J. Russell and Beulah (Myers) Myers. Harold was the loving husband of the late Janet (Fowler) Myers who passed away, August 4, 2002.
Mr. Myers was a veteran having served his country proudly as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force.
Harold was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA, and he was a member of A.A.R.P.
Mr. Myers worked as a Sales Manager for Gibble’s, Snyder’s and UTZ. After retiring from the snack food industry, he drove a school bus in Virginia.
Harold enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Cindy Freet and husband Jack of Hanover, PA; two sons, Rodney E. Myers of Mt. Crawford, VA, and Glenn L. Myers and wife Sandy of Strasburg, VA; eight grandchildren, Jenny, Melissa, Joseph, Ashly, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Mandy and Brandon; nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Jacob, Olivia, Aiden, Kayden, Skylar, Brayden and soon to be born River; and three sisters, SarahAnn, Shirley and Janie. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley; and eight brothers.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Harold will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 20, 2018 at Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Stephen Salisbury officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, as well as from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, July 20, 2018 at the church.
