Iva Lucille Warner, 87, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, August 3, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born May 2, 1931, in Spring Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas O. and Margaretta B. (Trussell) Carroll. Iva was the loving wife of the late Melvin L. Warner who died December 26, 1993, and with whom she shared forty-one years of marriage.
Iva attended West York High School. She was a waitress at the Hanover Diner for ten years; and enjoyed working as an Avon representative for twenty-seven years. Iva was a volunteer at the Hanover Hospital, Homewood Nursing Home, and was active with the Boy Scouts of America.
Mrs. Warner was a member of St. David’s United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA.
Iva enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word finds. She loved spending time with her family, especially having family Game Days.
Iva is survived by her daughters, Lisa M. Bankert and her husband Robert of Littlestown, Sheila F. Myers and Lesley R. Warner both of Hanover, PA; a daughter-in-law, Joanne E. Warner of Hanover, PA; four grandchildren, Stacey Nesbitt, Nicole Bankert, Jenny Barrick, and Miles Myers; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Craig A. Warner; a son-in-law, Tim Myers; and four siblings, Elmo W. Carroll, Arvella J. Stoner, Freda B. Livingston, and Melvin F. Carroll.
A Memorial Service to celebrate and remember Iva will be held 11:30 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. David’s United Church of Christ, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation with the family will be held from 10:30-11:30 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the church.
