Kenneth C. Gentzler, 77, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Manor Care South Rehab Center, York, PA, with his loving wife by his side.
Born April 8, 1941 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Charles & Ruth (Hale) Gentzler. Kenneth was the loving husband of Catherine B. (Bollinger) Gentzler with whom he would have shared 56 years of marriage on April 21, 2019.
Ken was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, East Berlin, PA.
Ken was a 1959 graduate of Biglerville High School and a graduate of Thompson Business School. He had a career in sales having started at Wiest’s Department Store in York, PA, then the Bollinger Fashion Corner, Shultz Chevrolet and retired from Champion Mazda. He was also the owner of Ken’s Auto Care for 16 years.
Ken was an avid NASCAR fan and loved both Dale Earnhardt, Sr and Jr., He was also a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Catherine, Ken is survived by his daughter, Kimberly A. Gallagher and husband Grant of Reno, NV, and two grandchildren, Austin T. Grim of Philadelphia, PA and Jordan M. Grim of Orlando, FL.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 8, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 117 W. King Street, East Berlin, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, February 8, 2019 at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
