Leonobel F. Sullivan, 94, of Hanover, PA, died Friday, June 9, 2017 at Hanover Hall.  She was the wife of John E. Sullivan.  Born July 11, 1922, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis F. and Georgianna M. (Zinn) Kuhn.

Surviving are three sons, John L. Sullivan of Ellijay, Georgia; Michael R. Sullivan of New Braunfels, Texas; and Timothy Sullivan and wife, Janice of Valparaiso, Indiana; a daughter, Bonnie "BJ" Frock and husband, John of Littlestown; 12 grandchildren, Maura, Zachary, Meg, Lon, Sean, Nate, Brett, Meghan, Ashley, Scarlett, Kyle and Robin; and 15 great-grandchildren and one expected soon.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John E. Sullivan, a son, Patrick D. Sullivan and brother, Lewis G. Kuhn.

Born in Harrisburg, PA, at an early age her family moved to Washington D.C.  She felt that Washington was her hometown.  After high school she attended a business school to learn bookkeeping.  While in Washington area she married and started a family.  In the 1950's the family moved to Hanover, PA.  Her maternal ancestors played an important part of Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Her grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather were the first three superintendents for the cemetery.  For many years she was a bookkeeper at Lana Lobell and Hanover House mail order catalog operations.  After leaving the business world she started her greatest career.  The balance of her life was spent helping to raise her grandchildren.  With care, patience and love she was a teacher, director, caretaker and exceptional example of how to exhibit tolerance, understanding and acceptance as each child developed in their own life.   Grandma Billie will forever live in their memories.

Following cremation a private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.  There will no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of "Billie Sullivan" to the Hanover Hall Nursing Home, 267 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
