Margaret C. Berg, 88, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA.
Born January 16, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Rohrbaugh) Cunningham. Margaret was the loving wife of Clarence C. Berg with whom she shared seventy-one years of marriage.
Mrs. Berg was a member of Hanover Church of the Brethren, Hanover, PA. She was a member of the women’s group and helped in the nursery.
Margaret was a homemaker; she was a hard worker, loved cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her loving husband, Clarence, Margaret is survived by her children, Deborah A. Stambaugh and husband Bruce, John C. Berg and wife Jalane and Beverly J. Baker and husband Lynn; nine grandchildren, Matthew C. Stambaugh, Jason J. Berg, Alison R. Baker, Joelle K. Smith, Elizabeth E. Stambaugh, Joshua L. Baker, Jeremy L. Baker, Patrick B. Stambaugh, and Jennifer L. Baker; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Cunningham. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Cunningham and Allen O. Cunningham; and one sister, Hallie Rutledge.
Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Margaret will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Hanover Church of the Brethren, 601 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Geraldine Godfrey officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
