Mary E. Ernst

Mary Elizabeth Ernst,96, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center. 

Born August 6, 1921, in New Windsor, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Emma J. (Garber) Wagner.  Mary was the loving wife of the late Robert W. Ernst, who died August 15, 2016.

Mrs. Ernst was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA.

Mary is survived by her son, William R. Ernst and his wife, Susan, of Roswell, GA; three grandchildren, Mark Ernst, Barbara Watson and Amanda Finch, and five great-grandchildren, William Ernst, Eric and Evan Watson, and Trey and Bralen Finch.  She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

A memorial service to celebrate and remember Mary’s life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Homewood at Plum Creek Chapel, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Elza M. Hurst officiating. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the chapel.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
