Mary A. Roller, 95, formerly of Spring Grove, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Brethren Home Community.

Born July 2, 1922 in Jackson Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Amos N. Sr. and Catherine “Karena” (McMaster) Altland. Mary was the loving wife of the late Glenn LaVerne Roller who died July 11, 1998.

Mary was a 1941 graduate of Spring Grove High School and retired in 1979 after 35 years of service as a cashier/bookkeeper for the former A&P Tea Company.

Mrs. Roller was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Grove, PA. In her younger years, she enjoyed collecting antiques and traveling in the US. In her later years she enjoyed participating in various activities at Cross Keys Village, especially “noodle ball”.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Suzanne M. Hoke and husband Steven H. of East Waterford, PA, four grandchildren, Steven H. Hoke II and wife Melissa, John L. Hoke and wife Virginia, Michael A. Hoke and wife Jenni, Jeffrey A. Hoke and wife Fanny, 10 great grandchildren, a brother John H. Altland and wife Maybelle, sister-in-law Gladys Altland, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers Francis R. and Amos N. Jr. Altland.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Mary’s life will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
