Patricia Ann (Crabbs) Shank, 66, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born April 20, 1952, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Dorothy (Savacool) Crabbs. Patricia was the loving wife of Jay A. Shank with whom she shared forty-seven years of marriage.
Pat graduated from Delone Catholic High School in 1970. She was an account manager for Snyder’s of Hanover for fifteen years. She also loved working as a fitness instructor at the Hanover Area YMCA.
Pat was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. She served on the UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital’s Auxiliary Board for many years. Pat was also active at the Hanover YMCA, where she enjoyed and taught ZUMBA. When not working out, Pat loved to share time with her many beloved friends whose dedication to her comfort in her time of need served as a testament to the love she created throughout her life. However, she had no greater love than making wonderful memories with her grandchildren.
Pat blessed the lives of all around her, first and foremost, her life-long love Jay. In addition to her loving husband Jay, Pat is survived by her children, Benjamin T. Shank and wife Deborah of Parkland, FL and Jessica A. Ortolano and husband Jason of Abilene, TX; four grandchildren, Joshua, Maryn, Anna Sophia, and Joseph; one brother, John Crabbs of Hanover, PA; and two sisters, Barbara Worthington of Spring City, PA and Deborah MacDonald of Williamstown, MA as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate and remember Pat’s life will be held 11:00AM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Matthew Morelli as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. Viewings and times to share memories with the family will be held from 2:00-4:00PM and from 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10:00-11:00AM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at the church
