Patricia M. Shepherd, 80, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s Eternal care, Friday, August 10, 2018 at the York Hospital.
Born November 22, 1937, in Muncie, IN, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Gladys M. (Robbins) Shear. She was the loving wife of Jerry F. Shepherd with whom she shared sixty-two years of marriage.
Patricia was a 1956 graduate of Anderson High School, Anderson, IN. She was a member of Arise! E.F.C. Church, Hanover, PA.
Patricia retired from J.P. Jewelers, having owned and operated with her husband for over thirty years. She was a Girl Scout leader for Juniors and Cadets in Hellam and Hanover for many years. Patricia earned a Green Angel for scouting and a blue ribbon from the York Fair for a macramé baby cradle.
In addition to loving husband, Jerry, Patricia is survived by her daughter, Toye Elaine Moore and husband Matthew of Dover, PA; two grandchildren, Christi L. Mack and husband Kevin, and Abbi E. Fritz and husband David; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar L. Mack and Conner P. Mack; and siblings, Caroll Vincent of MI, and Susan Abel of Hillsdale, MI.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Patricia will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Arise! E.F.C. Church, 109 Flickinger Road, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Randy Strode officiating. Burial will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to Arise! E.F.C. Church, 109 Flickinger Road, Hanover, PA 17331, or to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
