Patricia B. Sutherland

Patricia B. Sutherland, 73, of Abbottstown, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle - Hanover Hospital.

Born May 13, 1945 in Fort Benning, GA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Martin) Boki.   She was the loving companion of John R. Blades.

Patricia was a 1987 graduate of the University of Northern Florida with a degree in Computer Science.  She retired from the Federal Government, Department of Treasury, having worked as a computer systems analyst and overseeing union contract negotiations for union employees.

Patricia was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Abbottstown, PA.  She was very active with the Consistory and the Workers of Emmanuel, and a former choir member. 

Patricia was an avid reader, and loved birds, beading, needlework, art, and dancing. 

Patricia is survived by her sons, Ronald A. Bryant and Russell I. Bryant of Halifax, PA; seven grandchildren, Nicolas, Hope, Travis, Luke, Kennedy, Katie and Britney; many great-grandchildren; a brother, John Boki of Bloomfield, NJ; and a sister, Sandra Johnson of Bloomfield, NJ.  She was preceded in death by a son, Randall E. Bryant in 1992.

Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA
