Patrick Richey (born July 19, 1952) took his leave of this world after saying goodbye to his devoted wife of 46 years Linda and his firstborn son Andrew who were by his side. Dad is reunited in Heaven with his parents and sister Pam. Pat was president of his high school student body, 2-time national debate champion and recipient of a full scholarship to the University of Michigan. In his early career, he invented the clip that held louvers onto the rear windows of cars like the Mustang 2 and Camaro--making him an unsung hero to mullet-wearers everywhere. He was instrumental in the development of the MX ballistic missile and the Tomahawk cruise missile. As an early pioneer in the field of quality control, he influenced American manufacturing in significant ways we can never measure. He was a Sunday school teacher, music leader and deacon in the Baptist church. He was a mentor to his two sons, Andrew and Peter and a doting grandfather to four grandsons and one granddaughter. Always cheerful and ready to laugh, Pat's spirit and deep knowledge of all things will be missed by all who knew him. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, but look forward to being together again. Godspeed, Dad.
