Paul Eugene Troyer, Jr., 73, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at home with his loving family by his side.

Born August 11, 1944, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Paul E. Troyer, Sr. and Regina (Utz) Shultz.  Paul was the loving husband of Carol A. (Wagaman) Troyer and with whom he shared twenty-four years of marriage. 

Paul served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Paul was a 1962 graduate of Eichelberger High School.  He earned a B.S. in Business Administration in 1966 from Concordia University.  Paul retired from the former Hanover Wire Cloth in 2012 as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing a position he held for over thirty years.

Paul was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.  He was a member of the Hanover Country Club, a life-member of the Hanover Arcadian Club.  Paul served on the Board of the Hanover Planning Commission, the Board of Directors of American Hardware Manufacturing Association, the Board of Directors of the Eastern Hardware Group Association and the Board of Directors of the National Hardware Association, as well as serving as former President of Southern Hardware Group Association.

In addition to his loving wife, Carol, Paul is survived by his children, Amy Troyer Roof and husband Denny of Paducah, KY, David K. Troyer of Hanover, Mark K. Troyer of Hanover, Julie P. Troyer of Hanover, PA, Jason C. Imler and wife, Melanie of Hanover, PA, Joshua T. Imler and wife Kike of Pleasant Hill, CA, and Molly E. Imler of Hanover, PA; six grandchildren, Shane Troyer of Gettysburg, PA, Conner Brian and wife Hailey of Colorado Springs, CO, Morgan Brian of Paducah, KY, Jocelyn Imler and Scarlett Imler, both of Hanover, PA, and Anthony Imler of Pleasant Hill, CA; and a brother, Terry Troyer of Green Valley, AZ.  He was preceded in death by a brother, William “BT” Troyer.

Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Paul will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, September 11, 2017, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 West Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
