Pearl R. Nace, 87, of Hanover, PA, entered the gates of heaven on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her home. She is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, Edward H. Nace.
She was born on September 29, 1930 in Brodbecks, PA to the late Robert and Maggie (Bergen) Fuhrman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers, Arba, Merle, Grover, Roger, Burnell, Curvin and John, her two sisters, Marjorie Shue and Beatrice Werner, her son, Edward Nace Jr., her son-in-law, Thomas Walker, and her great grandson, Thomas (Tommy) Walker. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Pearl (Gerald) Gebhart, Brad Nace, Tim (Susan) Nace, and Dorothy (WesLee) Johnson, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
She was a lifelong member of the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, Glenville, PA, and the secretary for the Edward H. Nace Restoration Company for many years. She was dedicated to her faith and family and had a wide variety of interests in cake decorating, candy making, flower and vegetable gardening, crocheting and sewing, and other assorted crafts.
A memorial service will be held on 11 Am, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, PA, with the Rev. Brandon R. Grady officiating. The family will receive friends at a luncheon immediately following the service. Burial will be private and in the Black Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
