Roberta A. (Nace) Sipe passed away May 11, 2017 at the Hanover Hospital. Born in Menges Mills on June 8, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. Nace and Katie E. Shutt Nace.  Roberta, known as "Berdie" to her family and friends, was a graduate of West York High School, and employed by Sears Roebuck, Co for many years and later for Country Manor Florist.  Berdie was a loving wife, mother and aunt and a devoted member of her church, Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Hanover. She served God for many years as a choir member, kitchen volunteer and enjoyed making items for the church's craft sales. She had a positive and encouraging impact on the lives of many relatives and friends. Even as her health declined she continued to be part of a card ministry and prayer chain.  Berdie is survived by her husband Ross A. Sipe, daughter Cheryl Sipe Copeland of Gardeners, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Frances Crone, Pauline Sterner and Kathryn Henson and brothers Howard Nace and John Nace. A memorial service will be held 11 AM, on Thursday, June 8, at Emmanuel UCC, 124 Broadway, Hanover PA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
