Roy D. Lawyer

Roy D. Lawyer, 77, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, December 6, 2019 at the UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born February 17, 1942 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Roy and Mary (Altland) Lawyer.  Roy was the loving husband of Patricia Ann (Worley) Lawyer with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.

Roy was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA, Fraternal Order of Police, and the Jefferson Sportsman’s Club.

Roy retired from ESAB with over 30 years of service as a Fab Line Operator.  He enjoyed gun collecting, antique shopping and going on trips with his wife.

In addition to his loving wife, Patricia, Roy is survived by his children, Roy D. Lawyer, Jr and Deanie M. Lawyer, 2 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, one sister, Shirley Groft and one brother Jerry Lawyer. He was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Lawyer.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM, on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Kirk A. Griffin.  Burial will be in St. David’s Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing will be held from 10 -11 AM, Thursday, December `12, 2019 at the funeral home.
