Albert began his career in the clothing industry in New York City while he also served as a part-time NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer. Thereafter, he owned a small clothing business in Carroll County and a retail/alterations shop in Towson, MD. He then was the general manager of Jos. A. Banks Clothing Manufacturing. After some time, he bought the Dutch Country Restaurant in Hanover, PA, and managed that with his wife for 5 years.
Albert was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. He was also a member of the Amici D’Italia Italian Club (Hanover chapter), and the Hanover Moose Lodge #227.
Albert had many interests and spent time doing the things he loved with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and winemaker most of his life. He coached girls’ softball in the Baltimore County Rec League. He also loved to cook, garden, play bocce, fish, and spend time at his cabin (the “shack”) in Fort Loudon, PA. He looked forward to Wednesday lunches and Friday evening pizza with friends in Hanover and loved the family visits between NY, NJ, NC and PA.
Albert is survived by his daughters, Marie Mucci and husband Dave of Finksburg, MD, and Liz Polley and husband Rick of Pittsboro, NC; two grandchildren, Erica Polley and Caroline Polley, both of Pittsboro, NC; a brother, Rodolfo Margiottiello of Iselin, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
