Alfred L. Brady, 95, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center. He was the loving husband of the late Loretta (Rang) Brady until her passing in 1981.
Born November 9, 1928, in Washington, D.C., Al was raised at Paradise Protectory in Abbottstown, PA. He left at the age of 18, joined the Army and served in the Korean War. When he came home, he met his future wife Loretta, and they had four children together. After her passing in 1981, he raised his three sons and his favorite daughter Tina.
He was retired from the United Telephone Company and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, PA.
Al enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to their events.
Alfred is survived by his three children, Tony Brady, Phil Brady and his wife Brenda, and Pat Brady; his son-in-law, Larry Pullen; eight grandchildren, Nick (wife Amanda), Jason (wife Brandy), Cory (wife Devon), Austin (wife Shayna), Evan, Becky, Jennifer, and Jessica; five great grandchildren, Braxton, Brielle, Naiylah, Aiden, and Beau; and his friend Ellie Pfaff. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Pullen; daughter-in-law, Lori Pfaff Brady; and brother, George Hasson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, with Father Joseph F. Gotwalt celebrant. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA with the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail providing Military Honors. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, with prayers at 8PM, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
