Alfred A. Weaver, 85, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Carroll County Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born March 29, 1940, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony S. and Ada C. (Halter) Weaver. Alfred was the loving husband of the late Norma J. (Smith) Weaver.
Alfred was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA.
Alfred was a 1958 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, Hanover, PA. He was a carpenter and worked for Inland Homes and then as a machinist for Black & Decker until his retirement.
Alfred enjoyed hunting in his younger years, was an excellent carpenter and wood worker, enjoyed football, was an avid Penn State fan, loved cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events, and especially loved spending time with his family.
Alfred is survived by four children, Scott A. Weaver and wife Bobbi, Melissa W. Yelton and husband Kevin, Krystal M. Stoops and husband Brian, and Tabitha W. Pilchard and husband James; seven grandchildren, Brett Stoops, Alyssa Taylor, Heath Weaver, Kory Yelton, Steven Yelton, Bailey Pilchard, and Noah Pilchard; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Christine Forbes and husband J.T.; and a brother, Francis Weaver and wife Barb. He was preceded in death by a sister, Monica Czapp and her husband Norbert.
A Mass of Christan Burial will be held 11AM, Monday, July 7, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5055 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Rev. Cole Mase as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11AM, at the church.
